Chirom Meiraba was born and raised in a small state of the North East India, bordering Burma. Growing up in a small state ridden with insurgency for the past 5 decades, Being surrounded by hills, life here had and still has very little interest in Science and Technology.  But contradictorily, this created in me the aspiration to create development through Science.  he was always interested in finding out a way to make the living standard better and to elevate the general mindset. He grew up to be a brilliant student, topping the class and securing positions in many state and regional level exams. After completing his Higher Secondary Exam, he left both the medical and engineering seats to go for IISER to pursue Basic Sciences and help the world as a whole through scientific advancement. 

Even now, he loves to interact with high school students and try to fascinate them about the wonders of science. In the year 2018, he founded a non-profit student based group called MitSna to achieve the goal more effectively.
